SONG: SUNSONG

In deep of winter’s long and lonely night

A sacred day begins return of light

The wild wind stirs, with hope a new dawn breaks

And days grow longer as the earth awakes

In ancient days t’was Thou that fathered life

In Gaia’s womb by Light with power rife

Thy loving rays thy children do embrace

And life abundant lives within thy grace

Chorus:

Oh Father Sun who shines on all our days

To Thee a hymn of gratitude we raise

Oh God of Light, wake Gaia from her rest

And sire new life to suckle from her Breast

By names unnumbered to thy children known

Jahonaa’ei, and Dazhdbog on his throne

Apollo drives his chariot 'cross the skies

And Baldur from the underworld doth rise

Now soon the earth beneath thy nurt’ring gaze

New life brings forth by thy effulgent rays

The flow’rs of spring will burst in glorious birth

And leaves of green with beauty grace the earth

Chorus:

Oh Father Sun who shines on all our days

To Thee a hymn of gratitude we raise

Oh God of Light, wake Gaia from her rest

And sire new life to suckle from her Breast

And sire new life to suckle from her Breast
